Oh America. How you make me laugh; and want to cry at the same time.
This video doesn't make any sense on so many levels that it is almost pointless to point them out, but let me give it a whack ;)
First we see these little children (really? are you really using children in hate spreading commercials like that?) talking about women marrying women and men marrying men. The narrator then says "Our kids will be thought a new way of thinking."
...
OMG THE HORROR! Imagine that! Children could think different things than grownups do! Different things than we have been thinking for the last TWOTHOUSAND YEARS (thank you Christianity, btw.) By accepting gay marriage, allowing teacher to talk about this with their students and encouraging families to talk about it to children we could actually create a world in which gay and straight people could live together without any prejudice and hate.
I repeat. THE HORROR.
Honestly? Organizations that make those kinds of commercials can go fuck themselves.
I do not understand how America has not yet legalized gay marriage, this is fucking ridiculous and makes me
mad. There are still only SEVEN countries in this whole world that allow it. (BTW: woot for Sweden for joining recently :)) I'm not often proud to live in Belgium, but it's moments like these that I am, we were one of the first countries to legalize it.
This one... is from the same organization and it makes even LESS SENSE. I do not even understand what they are trying to say. "It will affect my life too." ... HOW? Will they force you to have sex with someone of the same gender? o_O will they make hetero-marriage illegal?
Now
I'm terribly terribly confused by your bullshit.
It must go something like this: "Ewww, gay people are gross lets make commercials to make sure they can't get married... but wait, we do not have any valid reasons to actually be against gay people... so lets make WEIRD and CONFUSING commercials and hope people can't see right through are fucking bull shit."
This video on the other hand... wow, that kid's parents should be so goddamn proud.
The way he puts it is so simple "People should be able to get married because they're not different from anybody else." That breaks my heart (in a good way). Children are so often polluted by society and these "values" installed in them by organizations and religion. Telling us it's
wrong to love someone of the same gender, fucking crazy. People aren't born homophobes, they're made homophobes.
